I was getting gas near HSU when I was harassed by Officer Jackson and another female cop who with her. They didn't like how the back hatch of my car was taped with auto plastic because the glass had broken. I had just purchased the car and had just smogged the car that day. I felt safe because it was registered and insured. Things got a little wierd when Officer Jackson said she would tow my car. I told her that it was illegal to tow my car. She said she would do what she wanted to regardless of the law. She called a male black cop to the scene while I was crying, (His name was also omitted from the report.)Without a word, he handcuffed me, so tight that I thought it would break my bones. They were laughing with each other, and saying that I arrested myself, right in front of my 8 year old child. I was parked outside the UPD station in handcuffs and ankle ties while seatbelted in to the car for 2 hours. Officer Jackson dangled my car paperwork in front of me. She told me that she was throwing away the title to my car along with the smog certificate. She told me that I would never see my car again. She said that people "like me" didn't deserve to have kids and she would make sure to take my kid away from me. She said that my boyfriend claimed that he didn't know me and walked away.He told me later that she threatened to arrest him as well if he didn't agree that I arrested myself. Inside the police station, they fed my child cookies and cake. My child noticed a picture of Officer Jackson and the other female officer french kissing on the wall inside the police office. The other female police officer was referred to as "Captain". She had dark hair in a long braid. Eventually, they drove me to Eureka to the jail. Once I was in the jail, Officer Jackson dumped my purse on the table and had four men in uniform strip me down to nothing but my t-shirt and thin jeans. Two of the men held me against a wall, while the other two abused my breasts and genitals. All my female areas were turned black with bruises and ripped ligaments, etc. A fifth man in uniform interrogated me as they hurt me. He was only interested in my sex life, and birth control practices. When I tried to turn my head back to look at Officer Jackson, she was feeling her privates with a big smile on her face. I didn't know that the torture had just begun. When they were done with me, I was crying hysterically, and they threw me headfirst against the concrete floor of the drunk tank. I didn't pass out that time. I was cold and in serious physical pain. I banged on the doors and told them that I was injured and hypo-thermic but to no avail. When I was let out to make a call to my lawyer, they decided that they didn't like my tone on the phone call. They lifted my by my wrists and threw me headfirst into an even dirtier piss-filled cell with a 6 inch metal bench. I clung to the metal bench like a monkey until I passed out and saw the light. It wasn't my time yet, because I came to as they pulled my body out of the cell. I didn't know if they thought that I was dead or not. Then, they put me in maximum security for 5 days, with a bunk mate that was known to hate criers and whiners. They would not give me a contact case and one of my contacts melted in my eyes. I could only see through one eye, the other was so infected. I was hypo-thermic for 5 days, and I had a concussion along with a myriad of other injuries. I received no medical care. When they finally released me, I was charged with delaying an officer. I delayed her because I cried. In the year following, I have discovered that I am now profiled in the cop computer in Humboldt County. Every time my driver's license number is put in, the cop who reads what Officer Jackson wrote decides, to be as harsh with me as possible and both times the cops have mentioned that they read what Janelle wrote about me. There is no way to remove the slander from my name. Now, I have had to hear a dozen more stories of abused and slandered souls who were also abused and slandered by Officer Jackson. I only hope that they have the courage to document this sociopath. She is clearly not psychologically suited for her position, and she needs to be removed from it in order to stop her from abusing other innocent people.
