Redwood Curtain CopWatch, based in the north coast of California, is part of a larger movement of self organized CopWatch groups throughout the US. Our local efforts seek to intervene in the drastic rise of the presence, militarization, and violence of the police, and build support networks based on self-determination, caring, and concrete needs.

The workshop will be at PARC, Peoples' Action for Rights and Community, in Eureka. DIRECTIONS BELOW

To get to PARC from the North:
Turn right onto Q St. from the 101 North (aka 4th Street).
After the Stop sign at 3rd and Q, take a right into the alley. (There is a greenish blue house at the head of the alley).
PARC is on the right in the alley. You'll see PARC signs. You've gone a little too far if you reach the end of the alley and the Samoa bridge road.
To get to PARC from the South (or other parts of Eureka):
Take 3rd Street, pass the library, toward the Samoa bridge.
Turn left onto Q Street, then a right into the alley. (There is a greenish blue house at the head of the alley).
PARC is on the right in the alley. You'll see PARC signs. You've gone a little too far if you reach the end of the alley and the Samoa bridge road.
Do you know what to do if you're stopped by police? Do your friends and children know what to do? Are you tired of your rights being violated? This workshop focuses on the law "on the street"-- what your rights are and how cops try to trick you out of them. Redwood Curtain CopWatch wants to share strategies to survive police encounters.
The more of us who know how to assert our rights (including watching the police), the closer we will be to ending the police state- and protecting ourselves and each other.
There are fliers and handbills at PARC, if anyone wants to pick some up to post or to hand out.
Also, links to the flier and to the handbill are below. If you can print some and get the word out, that would be great!
